Welcome to the
Black Commonwealth
Labor alliance
The Black Commonwealth Labor Alliance (BCLA) is a faith-based nonprofit public charity organization. Established in 2022 in the city of Minneapolis, BCLA's mission is to address the multifaceted issues of poverty affecting inner-city Black communities throughout America.
BCLA is committed to promoting Black business and community development through its educational initiatives for both adults and youth. As Global Executive Director Tom Lyon emphasizes, 'We aspire to create a replicable model here in Minneapolis, one that can serve as a beacon of hope across the nation. By forging strategic partnerships, we aim to catalyze a transformative movement that will undeniably alleviate the challenges faced by thousands.'"
